Hello, I'm Downey, a creative professional from China who works across industries and product types. I'm dedicated to designing products that combine practicality and aesthetics.


Previously, I worked at four companies, namely Lexin, OPPO, FindingUnicornArt, and BYD. I participated in the design and development of several products with a user base of over one million, during which I accumulated extensive experience in product planning, user experience design, and team management.


Currently, I've established my own studio - Digital Craftsman Studio. In addition to fulfilling clients' requirements and providing them with customized product solutions, the studio is also fully committed to independently developing a product with unique value. This product will be officially launched into the market after it is thoroughly refined.

BYD is a global leader in new energy vehicles, with annual sales exceeding 3 million units. As an OS Product Manager Expert for BYD's automotive operating system DiLink, I lead a small team focused on redesigning and planning the system architecture. My responsibilities include defining product features and performance specifications, driving innovation in user interface design and connectivity solutions, optimizing system performance across different vehicle models, and ensuring successful implementation of BYD's vehicle systems to enhance market competitiveness.

Finding Unicorn is a art toy startup with multiple IPs, including Framer BOB, RiCO, and ShinWoo. As UX Design Director, I built and led a high-performing design team of 15 designers and developers, successfully driving the 0-to-1 development of Finding Unicorn internet products and mobile applications. During this time, I focused on integrating new technologies like AR/VR and innovative design methodologies into our products, helping establish a unique brand image and exceptional user experience in the trendy toy industry. Our efforts resulted in a 200% increase in user engagement and brand recognition.

As a OS Designer at OPPO, I have focused on the design and optimization of the ColorOS operating system, aiming to enhance user experience and system performance for a global audience. Throughout my tenure, I have accumulated extensive experience in product innovation, feature planning, module integration, and cross-department collaboration across multiple product lines. These experiences have not only driven the continuous improvement of ColorOS but also contributed significantly to OPPO's leadership in the global smart device industry and user satisfaction metrics.

Lexin is one of the earliest internet finance companies in China, pioneering the installment shopping e-commerce model in the country and extensively exploring the design of internet financial products. As the UX Designer at Lexin, I created many new interaction paradigms for internet financial products, significantly enhancing the user experience of Lexin's financial services. During my tenure from 2014 to 2019, Lexin's user base grew to 100 million, with a monthly transaction volume exceeding 10 billion RMB, and the company successfully went public on NASDAQ.
